The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a half-day course that is designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace. The course will cover the basic Fire Safety principles and the simple measures that can be taken in order to control the risk of fires. Workplace fires are very common, so it is important that staff are adequately trained to reduce the risk of fires and keep everyone safe. The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness course is a nationally recognised qualification and it is a regulated course.
In the UK, primary fires comprised 40% of all fires attended by Fire and Rescue Services in April 2018- March 2019. That is 73,214 primary fires.

During the course, there will be a range of learning styles incorporated to maximise your learning experience. There will be a multiple-choice examination at the end of the course to test your knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course, each delegate will have the knowledge, confidence, and certification to go to their workplace and apply what they have learned to reduce the risk of fires.
Refresher training is recommended every 3 years which will consist of a half-day course to refresh and update your Fire Safety knowledge.
